If you have a question about this policy or about information you have given us, email the address above.
We only collect information you choose to give us through one of the forms on this website. We do not require you to create an account, and you can read every page of this site without submitting anything.
Our contact forms collect:
We use this to respond to you. That is all.
Our email signup form collects:
We use this to send occasional promotional emails and updates about the haunted attraction, the novels, and related news. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send, or through our unsubscribe page.
Our Fear Files form collects:
We use this to create and send you a personalised Fear File based on the fear you submitted, and to reach you about it.
Submitting a fear does not subscribe you to marketing emails. The email list is a separate, optional checkbox on that form, unchecked by default. If you do not tick it, we will only use your details to send you your Fear File.
The fear you submit is used to create your Fear File and may inform the creatures, characters and stories we develop for the Deadly Fantasies / Silent Nightmares universe. We will never publish your name, email address, or any detail that identifies you personally alongside it.
Our unsubscribe form collects:
We use this to remove you from future promotional emails, and we keep a record of the request so that you are not accidentally added back to a future mailing.
Like most websites, our hosting and analytics tools automatically record limited technical information when you visit, including:
This is used to understand how the site is being used and to keep it secure. It is not used to identify you personally.
We use the information described above to:
We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.
Form submissions are delivered to us by email and stored in a private Google spreadsheet that only we and our website developers can access.
We use the following service providers, who process information on our behalf:
| Service | What it does |
|---|---|
| Google Workspace | Email and spreadsheet storage |
| SendGrid | Delivers email sent from the website |
| CleanTalk | Filters spam submissions from our forms |
| Google Analytics | Anonymous website usage statistics |
| Google Maps | Displays the map on our Contact page |
| Our web host | Runs and secures the website |
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data. We have chosen established providers and we share only what is necessary for them to perform their function.
We keep enquiry messages for as long as we need them to deal with your question and for a reasonable period afterwards.
We keep mailing list addresses until you unsubscribe.
If you unsubscribe, we keep a record of your email address on a suppression list rather than deleting it entirely. This is deliberate. Keeping that record is what stops you being accidentally added back to a future mailing. We do not use suppressed addresses for any other purpose.
We keep Fear Files submissions so that we can create and send your file, and so that we have a record of what was sent to whom.
